Engkau yang rindu untuk dirindukan, dengarlah ini …

Namamu akan menjadi suara yang merdu di telinga sesamamu, jika engkau menyebut nama sesamamu dengan penghormatan dan kasih sayang.

Sesamamu rindu mendengar suaramu, jika yang kau katakan adalah yang baik tentang dan bagi mereka, dan engkau mengatakannya dengan kelembutan yang kau pantaskan bagi bayi yang baru kau terima dari Tuhan.

Mereka rindu melihat wajahmu, jika engkau menghiasinya dengan senyum yang mewakili keluasan hatimu untuk menerima kekurangan dan merayakan kehebatan mereka.

Mereka rindu menggenggam erat tanganmu, jika sentuhanmu meneruskan doa dari hatimu ke hati sesamamu.

Dan sesamamu merindukan kehadiranmu, jika engkau membantu mereka berdamai dengan masa lalu mereka, mensyukuri hidup mereka hari ini, dan bersemangat menyambut kemungkinan baik mereka di masa depan.

Jika itu semua yang kau ikhlaskan menjadi kualitas dirimu, maka itulah yang juga dirindukan oleh Tuhanmu - agar engkau menjadi rahmat bagi sesamamu.

Dengannya, engkau menjadi sebaik-baik manusia, yang menjadi hadiah Tuhan bagi kebahagiaan sesamamu dan pelestarian keindahan alam.
